inking style

I haven't posted in a while because I'm working on a comic. The style I chose is taking me forever, so I was playing around with another style of cleanup for the next time I do a comic. This style is much faster.

Brilliant gesture and character design! What brush are you using for cleanup? It looks like the "stubby pencil". Which I've made great use out of!

wow your rough is as beautiful as your final image. How do you get it so smooth and neat?

Andy: I learned this trick from one of the board artist at work who had really nice looking roughs. You just draw really slow and stop before you put down every line. You can even "ghost" the line, where you move your hand back and forth and make the motion before you actually put the line down.

Great tip! Thanks Rad :D

I've learned first-hand how long a comic can take. Your stuff looks great, though! Plenty of gesture and expression!

really nice. I think i detect a faint hint of "tooth" in the cleanup that gives it some extra warmth. (either that or my eyes are going...)

Really great flow to this drawing! And I think I'm just naturally drawn to "outline art," but yeah...keep going with this finishing technique. It's appealing.
